Group Description

This list was created to aid and support adults who suffer from Type 1 or Type 2 Diabetes and have at least 50 unwanted pounds to shed. Diabetics who need to lose weight have unique problems achieving weight loss and my hope is that by sharing our diet experiences, both triumphs and pitfalls, that we can mutually benefit and make a few new friends along the way.
Are you able to eat several small meals a day to keep your sugar level and still lose weight? Do you eat alot of protein? Do you drink a lot of water? Do the artifical sweetners in soft drinks and baked goods aid your weight loss or hinder it? Is sugar your nemesis....something that you just can't shake? We all know that carrying extra pounds around is especially dangerous for diabetics. Let's band together and all become healthier!!!!!
