Motion Picture Access (MoPix) News:
(Illinois/WI Edition, contains film/showtime information for Chicago area &Milwaukee area theaters only)
SPY GAME, starring Robert Redford and Brad Pitt, is available with captions and descriptions as of today. HARRY POTTER AND THE SORCERER'S STONE and MONSTERS, INC., both with closed captions and descriptions, also continue to play. Check theater listings below for films and showtimes in auditoriums equipped with Rear Window Captioning and DVS Theatrical systems. If the film you want to see is not listed at the theater you attend, chances are it will play there in the weeks to come.
A BEAUTIFUL MIND, starring Russell Crowe and distributed by Universal Pictures will be closed captioned and described for its wide release on January 4.
DID YOU SEE HARRY POTTER, DID YOU SEE MONSTERS, INC, how about SPY GAME?
Let us know... We are eager to hear and pass along even more feedback from movie fans who enjoy description and closed captioning (it really makes a difference, read on). HARRY POTTER AND THE SORCERER'S STONE (or HARRY POTTER AND THE PHILOSOPHER'S STONE if you hail from Canada) is the first Warner Bros. film to be released with descriptions for its debut, and we want to make it clear there are many folks out there who want to see films from Warner Bros. and the other major studios, with descriptions and closed captions. Send us a note, tell us what you think and we'll make sure to get it to the Hollywood studios... so the films will keep coming and so more theater chains will be convinced to make their facilities accessible to all audiences! Send comments to mary_watkins@..., or call me at 617 300-3700 v, -2489 TTY (postal address at the end of this e-mail).
