Winter Activities for Deaf & Hard of Hearing
Youth, Teens & High School Students
10 weeks: January 8, 2007 – March 25, 2007
The Drop-In programs at Horner Park is designed for youth ages 6-17 (grades 1st - high school) and runs from 10 weeks, beginning January 8, 2007 through March 25, 2007.
Parents are responsible for drop off & pick up transportation.

* MONDAYS – 5:00- 6:00pm
NEW Private Tennis Lessons - ages 10-16
Learn a new sport!
Class will start February 5th (8 weeks) @
McFetridge Sports Center , 3843 N. California
*TUESDAYS - 4:30 - 5:30pm
ASL KIDS CLUB I - ages 6 - 12
Basic American Sign Language I -
A great way to improve your signing and meet new friends.
*WEDNESDAYS - 3:30 - 5pm
Kids Clay - ages 7 - 12
Methods of hand building, and take home" clay projects.
*THURSDAYS – 4:00pm – 5:30pm
Indoor Co-Ed Sports Club
Come out & learn variety of sports skills with your friends;
floor hockey, baseball, & more! Ages 8 - 12
*FRIDAYS - 3:30 - 5:30pm
MULTI-CULTURAL ART FOR TEENS -ages 11 - 17
A class combining ceramics, painting, drawing and more which teaches
different skills and challenges teens’ creativity.
*3rd FRIDAYS of each Month - 4:30pm – 6pm
NEW Drumming Club – ages 11-17
Develop an appreciation for music
DEAF CLUBS @ Horner Park, 2741 W. Montrose Avenue
Fun-filled evening of recreational & tournament games, music,
holiday parties, field trips, new friends & more!
Bring $$ for food and drinks
YOUTH LEADERSHIP CLUB
Every FRIDAY evening 6:30pm – 9:30pm
ELEMENTARY SCHOOL ONLY - ages 9 & up
starting January 12th
HIGH SCHOOL CLUB
3RD Saturday Night of each Month 6:30pm - 9:30pm
HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS ONLY – must bring HS Photo ID
