      Hello Everyone!

What is ARD??  ARD stands for Addiction Recovery of the Deaf.  What is it?  This is a program at Anixter Center that provides services (IOP/OP) for people who are Deaf/HOH who have substance abuse issues.

What is substance abuse?   Substance abuse is having a problem with alcohol and/or drugs (such as marijuana, cocaine).  Do you know of someone who is Deaf/HOH that is struggling with alcohol?  Or other drugs?  Call us.  We can help with more information.

Who to call for more information? You can contact me, Sylvia Orozco, Counselor, at 773-904-0105 (VP), or Leslie Thomas, Manager, at 773-227-8530 (Voice).  Or fax me at 773-549-0351.  Another option is you can email me at sorozco@...

Please help others by passing the information on!
