Firstly, to Duncan, see the File by HH on Viking Seventeens. My mother had one and I then bought one for myself to keep in secretto and they both identify exactly wih the detail on this File from HH. To change the subject completely, yes, I particularly like the mountain scene with the cows and deliciously clad girl in attendance. I have it as background on my PC in my university office and students remark upon it. The scenery, of course, not the regnfrakk. I tell them that my oldefar, great-grandfather to them, as a boy used to have to look after the cows during the summer months well up in the mountains. He had to sleep up there at night to scare off any prowling wolves after the calves. He slept out in the open right next to the cow with the bell round her neck (see the other photo) since, should wolves approach, the bell-cow would leap to her feet, the bell would ring, he would wake up and start shouting in an adult voice and then stoke up the fire to scare the wolves away. He never told me though what sort of rainwear they had in those days long ago and I never thought to ask! There are people in Norway now who want the wolves back. Would you believe it?! I would rather have the regnfrakker back.

I was looking through HH's pictures from 2010, and in the December collection I saw that the first picture, the one from inside a store, is showing four females, wearing (from left to right) brown Kellymac, dark blue Kellymac, red Seventeen and dark blue Viking slicker.
And the fifth person is without a doubt male, and he's wearing a dark blue Kelly Longcoat.
Now, I must say that I prefer pictures of women inside women's rain slickers, not men. I think men look a little silly wearing women's slickers - well, I look silly wearing my light blue Kellymac or my blue Sneppertcoat, but then again may be I look silly whatever I'm wearing.

Men's slickers in the 1960s were dark greengray or green, also black. If you look at HH's
Div. HH L-053 Kelly Longcoats, picture number three, primus 17, you see a guy wearing
                  one of those greengray slickers.
In the 70s I believe men seldom used slickers; rain jackets had become the in thing -
though you could wear black, hooded, pushbutton slickers if you were sporting long hair, a beard and a mustache. Well, anyway I did.

I would be happy with the male model in the photo you quote. I quite like the Female alongside, even more perhaps. Can you find a pohoto of the model you wore in the 70s then?

I can guarantee that the blue slicker on the guy is a Kelly Longcoat.

And, no, I have not been able to find a picture of my 70's black, hooded slicker (which is
no longer in my possession, I think my ex-wife grabbed it when we split up). But I do think something like it is made by Didrikssons in Sweden, I saw one in a store here in Oslo.
By the way - I do own a slicker exactly like the one the man is wearing, but when I'm out in the rain wearing it I also wear my black sou'wester and rubber boots. Naturally.

I think men look a little silly wearing women's slickers - well, I look silly wearing my light blue Kellymac or my blue Sneppertcoat, but then again may be I look silly whatever I'm wearing.

He slept out in the open right next to the cow with the bell round her neck (see the other photo) since, should wolves approach, the bell-cow would leap to her feet, the bell would ring, he would wake up and start shouting in an adult voiceÃÆ'‚ and
