Another splendid selection of photos for December, thank you HH. If, as I usually do, look to decide which photo and which regnfrakk I would like to have posed

If, as I usually do, look to decide which photo and which regnfrakk I would like to have posed for, I have to say it wouldn’t be the first one. Despite everything else that I might like, it looks very uncomfortable and a little embarrassing sitting like that in the middle of nowhere. Do you really have facilities like that in Norway?
The one I most like would be the smaller of the two girls standing beside the potato-drill. That looks like my favourite Viking Seventeen type although perhaps what looks like the diagnostic red-lined hood is a red painted barn in the distance? Otherwise, Harald and Regnhild up in the mountain look as if it is time they told us about their more recent activities..

First, don t be afraid, Kate. This very open privy is probably the only one of the kind in Norway! The traditional model is a very small house with a heart

Second, there is no barn to be seen in your favourite December photo. What looks like it (the red spot) is actually the hood lining and the black spot looking like a roof is part of her hair, her pony tail.
