Thank you for the response and verifying you can not specific call a dongle. I was testing the concept of having the D-Star network find the last repeater that heard the station being called in the URCALL field. The interest came about when I wanted to understand what one gets by having a callsign registered with the network. What I am finding is that the callsign ip is needed to use a dongle or to do specific calling to radio users. Registration is not needed for commanding the gating or linking of reflectors and repeaters.
