1188RE: [DVCLIT] DVC LT Program on hiatus
- Dec 21, 2013
Hi all --
I just want to reiterate that a full run of classes will be offered this spring, summer and fall semesters to help anyone who is part way through the LT program to complete the necessary courses. We hope some of you will take advantage of this opportunity. Please help us promote the courses that will be offered the next couple of semesters.
The hiatus period will allow us to reorganize some of the curriculum. Unfortunately, a 60% drop in enrollment over the past three semesters gave us few options. We didn't want to keep the program going, but have to cancel classes each semester because we didn't have the minimum enrollment.
Best wishes for a happy and healthy holiday season.

I had not heard about this. That is so sad. I made it almost to the end of the program before I unexpectedly had to withdraw, but had hoped to go back and finish up those last few credits.I guess the website hasn’t been updated yet?Lori B.On Dec 20, 2013, at 9:09 PM, dvd <dvd7@...> wrote:
Oh no! Um very sorry to hear that! I enjoyed the program and learned so much in it. I got my library job because of it. Hope to see it return soon.

Very sad to hear that the LT program will be going on hiatus. I had a great experience and hope that the program will be able to return before too long.
