      Job is 20 hours/week, Mon – Fri during regular office hours of 8:30 am - 5:30 pm

      This is a new position.

       

      Duties include

      ·        Process newspapers

      ·        Check in & process library materials

      ·        Route materials and maintain routing lists

      ·        Open mail

      ·        Perform copy cataloging for new materials

      ·        Re-shelve materials daily, perform shelf maintenance and reading as necessary

      ·        Prepare items for shipment to remote office locations

      ·        Pull cases using Lexis

      ·        Maintain accuracy & currency of catalog records

      ·        Book conference rooms for filers, assist in locating materials for filers (retrieving from attorneys' offices, sending out missing book reports, doing office checks.)

      ·        Retrieve articles from online & print resources

      ·        Interlibrary loan duties: request materials from other libraries and maintain our ILL database

       

       

      Qualifications/Requirements

      ·        Responsible and reliable with strong organizational skills

      ·        Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with library staff, attorneys and other firm employees

      ·        Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Windows and Office 

      ·        Familiarity with SydneyPlus Library software or other library software preferred

      ·        Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.

      ·        Ability to lifting boxes up to 25 pounds

      ·        Ability to crouch and reach to reshelve items

      ·        Ability to Push/Pull a wheeled cart loaded with books

      ·        Library experience preferred
