We arrived at the Boardwalk and it looked like a mob of cars waiting to get in. When we finally got to the gate we were up the hill quite quickly.
We gave the car to the valet and caught the boat over to Epcot arriving about 6:45pm.
We had just walked to France where the line was really long and I happened to look towards SSE, and noticed a HUGE BANK of weather coming in.
My Granddaughter had already headed too the front to get the magnet and my daughter and I were going to wander.
I suggested we hop into the France movie, and the timing was perfect.
By the time we came out, the rain had moved West and we were left with lots of puddles but no rain.
We then walked towards Canada but got only as far as the place where Off Kilter used to be. When I say it was GRID LOCK...I'm not exaggerating one bit. I mean it was PACKED,,,,
Why???? It was the last night for the current fire works that has being running for years...Reflections of Earth. Based on all the people there it looked like the whole earth attended.
About 8:40 we gave up and headed to the boat. No sooner were we under shelter then an absolutely horrendous down pour happened AGAIN !
This one, too, lasted only about 7-10 minutes but absolutely drenched anyone not under cover. My GD had found a spot under a Kiosk for shelter...she was staying for the Fireworks.
When the fireworks started, my GD said they went on longer than usual and had more to them. She was very happy to have stayed.
Based on the rain, the only thing I ate was the France Beef and Potato plate and later a bottle of water.
We plan to go back for the F & W. I like to go on a Sunday morning, but this week we are occupied with other family members so it will have to wait.
It's been pretty hot to wander in the sun lately, so a mid day is out for sure.
      Jodi
