    SHOEMAKER TERMINAL 90 YEARS OLD:
    Today, July 4, 2012, also marks the 90th Anniversary of the opening of the DDOT Shoemaker Terminal facility, the first transit facility built by the City of Detroit back in 1922.  For more on the Shoemaker Terminal's long rich history and the major role it played in the early years of the city of Detroit's entrance into the transportation business click-on the following link:
    The "History of the Shoemaker Terminal" web-page was also recently tweaked and redesigned for viewing on wide-screen monitors, just in time to commemorate the facility's 90th Anniversary.
