By Bill Shea
Double-decker busses aren't just for Londoners anymore.
A double-decker express bus service that requires Internet reservations
begins Wednesday between Detroit and Chicago.

$1 tickets have sold, prices increase incrementally.
Chicago-based Megabus.com, a subsidiary of Coach USA, has 17
wheelchair-accessible 79-passenger double-decker buses and is integrating
them into already-scheduled routes, which include stops in Ann Arbor,
Chicago, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus, Indianapolis, Kansas City,
Minneapolis, St. Louis and Toledo.
A launch date hasn't been set for the Ann Arbor-to-Chicago route, which won't
be connected to Detroit. The service is expected to be fully implemented by
Bookings are made through www.megabus.com.
The Detroit stops are at Cass Avenue adjacent to the Wayne State University
campus and Putnam Street and at the Grand Circus Park People Mover station.
