      The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) expects to start
      hiring part-time screeners in October to gear up for the holiday season.

      The agency has not decided how many people it will hire. Part-time
      positions with the TSA pay $13.68 an hour for a 25-hour week.

      If you're not interested in this position, you should still look at

          Rock, I will go with you on the auto tip (although the auto industry effects 1 out of every seven jobs in the U.S. economy, so it will never be completely gone) but the terror alerts will keep TSAs working for awhile...besides, if you are laid-off, some money beats no money, but I will keep looking for job opportunities to post.
