The police executed a young unarmed, Black man – Michael Brown -- in Ferguson, Missouri, and the people there stood up and said NO MORE!  All eyes from around the country and the world is on Ferguson and the developments unfolding there.  People around the country took to the streets on Thursday evening in solidarity with the protests in Ferguson.

People are standing up in Ferguson, Missouri, people around the country, including in NYC, are standing up with them.

Noche Diaz of the New York Revolution Club, and an organizer of the Stop Mass Incarceration Network, and several others were arrested in retaliation for leading the march into the Times Square area on Thursday’s night of solidarity with Ferguson MO, and calling for Justice for Michael Brown and Eric Garner.  According to media reports -- hundreds, possibly thousands -- marched and gathered protesting the police killing of Michael Brown in Ferguson and the NYPD chokehold murder of Eric Garner in Staten Island. Hundreds more gathered in Harlem and Brooklyn as part of nationwide #NMOS14 vigils and protests.

Emergency rallies and speakouts are being called on Saturday for Harlem at 1:00 PM, and Union Square at 4:00 PM.  An earlier call for a Saturday march on the Verranzano-Narrows Bridge has been called off.
