Making Revolution – Fighting A Slow Genocide

Making Leaps in the Movement to Stop Mass Incarceration cd

A presentation and discussion with Carl Dix

Mass incarceration and all its consequences truly amount to an unspeakable horror. 2.2 million people warehoused in prison, 80,000 of them held in solitary confinement under conditions that amount to torture, more than 5 million former prisoners denied basic rights because they used to be in prison, and millions of uyouth subjected to racial profiling that puts them on a trajectory of going into and out of prison. All this is unacceptable and must be stopped!

Join Carl Dix for a discussion of the source of, and the solution to, mass incarceration, and how to build a fight to reverse the genocidal thrust of this slow genocide, which could easily become a fast one. Carl will speak to how to understand mass incarceration and he will get into how not to understand it by taking apart the wrong ways various forces explain what mass incarceration is and where it comes from. And he'll show where these wrong views will lead things.
