sleeping pill for a while but it seems to not work ,it is almost like
the methadone is blocking the sleeping pill effects? and I am afraid to
take more than what I do now,I my husband wants me to ask for a nautural
suppliment? what do you all think?

I would try to avoid taking sleeping pills as they can really screw up your sleeping patterns. As long as you are on a stable dose of methadone and you are not

I would try to avoid taking sleeping pills as they can really screw up your sleeping patterns. As long as you are on a stable dose of methadone and you are not undermedicated then your sleeping should have nothing to due with your methadone. The mistake allot of people make is everytime they get anxious,or depressed or insomnia or just not feeling good they want to blame it on the methadone. Remember regular people develop all these conditions that I mentioned that aren't on methadone and the only thing that makes us different from them is that we take a medication called methadone.
Do you eat close to bedtime, do you worry about things in your life, do you have a good mattress,is there any snoring going on in your bedroom? Either you or your mate. Do you sleep with the tv on?
When was your last complete physical? All of these things are more likely to effect your sleep than the fact that you are on methadone.
I agree with hubby about finding natural substances, there are many herbal teas and supplements that you can find in the health food store, find one that has a knowledgeable person that works there. Usually the chain stores have just a clerk working there oppose to a mom and pop type of store. I can't remember the names of the herbals mixes but do a Google search and put in herbs for sleeping and relaxing and they will pull it up. Let me know how you make out.
