      A Washington, D.C., Alcoholics Anonymous group is being accused of
      turning into a cult of personality, with members encouraged to cut off
      ties with outsiders and have sex with other members of the group.

      *Off-Label Use of Narcotic Lollipops Growing*
      Narcotic lollipops that first hit the market in 1998 were approved by
      the Food and Drug Administration to treat chronic pain in cancer
      patients, but use of the narcotic lollipop Actiq has expanded to include
      legal but controversial 'off-label' prescribing for migraine headaches
      and other conditions.

      *Modest Mouse Drinking Made Cancers Grow Faster, Study Says*
      Lab mice injected with breast-cancer cells and fed the equivalent of two
      alcoholic drinks daily developed tumors that were twice the weight of
      those in mice that did not ingest alcohol, researchers said.

      *Texas Set to Test Students for Steroids*
      The Texas House and Senate have both approved bills that would make the
      state the first to require random testing of high-school student
      athletes for steroids.

      *Supreme Court Hears 'Light' Cigarettes Case*
      An attempt by cigarette company Philip Morris to move a liability case
      from state to more favorable federal courts led last week to a hearing
      before the U.S. Supreme Court.
