An animated DC Super Pets feature film is in development at Warner Bros. Animation, according to Collider. Screenwriter Jared Stern (The LEGO Batman Movie, The LEGO Ninjago Movie, Dr. Ken) has been hired to both write and direct the film; Stern's directorial debut, Happy Anniversary, was released earlier this year by Netflix.

Collider is unaware of the intended Super Pets line-up, but in comics and animation it usually includes Krypto the Super-Dog, Streaky the Super-Cat, Beppo the Super-Monkey, and Comet the Super-Horse.

Super-Pets members Well at first it seems to me a fascinating and very cool idea for DC Comics to make a movie focused on the pets of each of the superheroes of the DC Universe. It's just to see with the same mentality of those who read "Lockjaw and the Pet Avengers" a fun and fascinating exercise of imagination and fantasy in the form of a movie with "Pets Super Heroes." I think that if done well can turn out to be a very cool and interesting film to see and great fun to watch in the movies with the children so I think a movie with Super-Pets may even be cool. My ideal formation of the Super-Pets team would be:

KryptoKrypto is Superman's Kryptonian dog. He possesses all of the sun-borne abilities of his master, as well as super-canine intelligence.He is also known for being a sort of sidekick to Superboy becoming his companion after Superman saw he had no time to give to the very social canine. He has also appeared in his own cartoon series.BeppoBeppo is Superman's pet monkey who is native to Krypton. He has powers similar to Superman, and joined the Legion of Super-Pets. Like most monkeys he is naturally mischievous.Comet the Super-HorseComet, the Super-Horse, was the horse of Supergirl. He had various super-powers and was a member of the Legion of Super-Pets.StreakyOne of the Super-Pets he was first owned by Supergirl. Streaky is a cat with superpowers similar to Superman, given to him by X-kryptonite.

JumpaJumpa is Wonder Woman's pet Kanga. Jumpa is also a member of DC Super Friends' Super Pets.Note : In the case of Jumpa I think I would make her as a kind of animal Demigoddess who would have received a series of divine powers derived from the Companion Animals of the Olympian Gods. The power of White Eagle's thundering of Zeus, the gifts of the Peacock of Hera, the wisdom of the Owl of Athena, the beauty of the Swan of Aphrodite, the strength of the Nemean Lion of Hercules, the vision and gifts of prophecy and healing of the two Apollo horses, hunting powers and empathy, senses and animal healing factor of the Artemis Black Panther, Hestia's White Dove sense of truth, the harmony with the nature of the Dryads of Demeter, the power of the Lion of Sea Protector of the Ocean of Poseidon , and the speed and power of flight of Pegasus given by Hermes which would make Jumpa worthy of being Wonder Woman's animal companion and with super powers capable of rivaling the Kryptonian animals.

Storm the SeahorseStorm the Seahorse was Aquaman's mount. Briefly used in comic books, Storm was more prominently featured in the "Aquaman" animated series (1967 - 1968) by Filmation.Note: For this film I think it would take the "poetic license" to reimagine Storm as a Hippocampus one of the mythical Sea Stallions, owner of super powers, amphibians, capable of rivaling those of his master Aquaman and with the power to assume a quadruped form from Marine Horse to, gallop on land as well as swim under the waters of the sea.

Tawky TawnyImagine a Bengal Tiger with the exact same powers of Shazam / Billy Batson as the Wisdom of Solomon, the Strength of Hercules, the stamina and endurance of Atlas the power of Zeus the courage and invulnerability of Achilles and the speed of Mercury only in the form of a Giant Tiger talking  (skill that acquired thanks to the wisdom of Solomon) smarter than common humans and you will get an idea of Tawky Tawny.

Big RedBig Red was the name of a large, brown hawk, that would occasionally assist Hawkman and Hawkgirl.Some criminals attempted to murder Hawkman by throwing him out of an airplane, when his falling form was spotted by a hawk, soon to be named "One-Eye", which saved Hawkman, and took him to a hidden valley populated by very intelligent birds. Hawkman learned their language while the amazing birds helped him repair his wings. He then returned to his pursuit of the criminals, backed by a large flock of hawks, but the crooks did some shooting and One-Eye was killed. TitusNamed after the Shakespeare character, Titus is Damian Wayne's pet Great Dane, given to him by his father, Bruce. He is a stalwart crime-fighter in his own right and a member of the Super-Pets.ZookThe silver-age sidekick/pet of the Martian Manhunter from another dimension.Before long the “mischievous animal” learns to speak a simple form of English, and demonstrated that he has an array of unusual abilities, which he uses to help the Martian Manhunter on his cases, including Temperature Manipulation, shapeshifting, telepathy, telekinesis, teleportation and tracking; Zook can even identify Manhunter when he has taken other forms.
