New Support Services and Groups at Whitman-Walker
- For those who are interested:
One-On-One Peer Counseling:
Peer Counseling is offered for issues such as coming out, HIV status, relationships, and more. Peer Counselors can serve as a resource for individuals who, regardless of whether or not they are seeing a counselor or therapist, hope to have a safe space to discuss what they are facing with others who have relevant life experience. Peer Counselors are available for a total of 10 one-hour sessions. The schedule for Peer Counseling is flexible, as it depends on the availability of the Peer Counselor as well as the individual.
