      There's bound to be a specialised word for that - Google for wood supplier
      sites.. you're looking for wooden slabs that look like those beech wooden
      kitchen tops, they're specifically made and sold to be used for steps and
      strings... treppeboden in German, they will have different pricing for
      different wood quality

      The zelezne schodnice are probably perforated/profiled/zig zag/whataver -
      different from "plne", whereas the optional plne are plain solid one piece
      type of thing - just like in the pics on that website I sent a link for
      earlier, no idea if the optional ones are wood (could be), would have to see
      drawings/more context to be sure. (I gather you know that zelezne really
      means ocelove/steel..)
