"Legacy" is now often used to mean something that is left over from an
earlier time. They must be talking about a printing job that was done
some time before and is now being reprinted.
A friend of mine is an expert in banking database systems written in
the Cobol programming language that was in common use in the 1970s and
1980s but is gradually being phased out now. IT people would say he's
a specialist in "legacy systems", because it's a system from the old
days that still exists in some banks.
