                    The Googling of Czech contributors resulted in some rather
                    outlandish suggestions. The simple explanation could have been found
                    from a good English dictionary, e.g. the Shorter Oxford: '(chiefly
                    N. Amer.) a badge fastened with a pin'.

                      1950's China :)...

                      Come on Simon, give us (Czechs) some credit, I think at least one person
                      suggested that... alth' I agree there must have been strange things in the
                      air yesterday...

                        Perhaps I should have been more understanding. I'm a bit pissed off
                        with Czechs at the moment for using snowcover as an excuse to allow
                        their dogs to crap anywhere.
