      In the News:
      March 25, 2012
Vogue article by mom about 7-year-old daughter’s weight sparks heavy backlash: An article by a woman who is "fighting" her 7-year-old daughter's "childhood obesity" at home--published in the April issue of Vogue--is causing a big backlash online among readers critical of the magazine and its author.
Weight loss doesn't always help self-esteem: Obese white teenage girls who lose weight may benefit physically, but the weight change does not guarantee they are going to feel better about themselves, according to a Purdue University study.

Motivational Message: See Your Beauty NOW: How many mornings do you wake up, look in the mirror (or step on the dreaded scale) and hate what you see? How many days do you catch a glance of your reflection and feel badly about that problematic pimple, not-straight-enough nose, starting-to-sag skin or anything else? Today is the day to stop, capture your Real Beauty and remember that one day you’ll look back on today and relish in your beauty – so why not appreciate it now?
