They should have hard lines on them from the factory. A rubber line would go from the hard line from the Master Cylinder that stops a foot or so from the

Disc Brakes

I have just purchased a 51 Super Sedan with disc brakes and it looks like the front hoses and master cylinder hose to the rear brake hard line are the same.

Years ago, I rigged a 12 volt mid 50's Buick sending unit on my Crosley tank. Gauge worked after a fashion: 1/2 tank on the gauge was actually empty. Better

Check that the unit is even any good first. If it's the original, I doubt it. If you have replaced the sending unit with a new one make sure it's got a good

The sending unit is a variable resistor. The gauge is a "balanced coil" ohmmeter, that requires itself to be grounded for operation. Power goes to and thru the
