You may want to try to go to some Crosley Parts Suppliers. Neal Daglow from Florida is making Fiberglass fuel tanks. Maybe he can help you. Here is a link to

          ============
          Neil Daglow, a very
          supportive longtime
          Crosley parts supplier
          and reproducer, has
          made some high-quality
          fiberglass fuel tanks.
          I have his phone number
          as (941) 255-8650 and
          his address as 2200
          Kings Way, Port
          Charlotte, Florida
          33980.

          For my '42, I had a new
          galvanized-steel tank
          built at a sheet-metal
          shop reusing the
          original fittings, and
          then I had it
          professionally
          leakproofed at a nearby
          radiator shop.

          (Don't use those pour-
          and-slosh fuel tank
          sealants; they
          eventually separate
          from the tank metal,
          flake off, and plug
          your tank's fuel
          outlet.)

Iwant to thank John and Lou for the info on the glass tanks. I am wondering where Lou got the specs for his steel tank? you see my tank is not here at all.

              ========================
              BC, I had the original
              tank to use as a
              pattern. It's just a
              rectangular box with an
              interior baffle halfway
              through. Some models
              such as the convertible
              coupe use an oval
              underhood tank mounted
              over the driver's-side
              footwell.
