When General Tire bought Crosley Motors in 1952, he attempted to assemble the resources to resume Crosley production elsewhere. Though unsuccessful, he acquired the remaining new parts stock and maintained a full-service Crosley parts and machining service until his retirement in 1981, and Service Motors itself continues today.
