Title: July 7, 1982: Service Motors' Ed Herzog, 41-year Crosley dealer, dies in Florida

      Date: Monday July 7, 2014
Time: 12:00 am - 12:00 am (GMT) Greenwich Mean Time - Dublin / Edinburgh / Lisbon / London
Location: Pompano Beach, Florida., CROSLEY CAR OWNERS CLUB (CCOC) - 4526 29th Avenue, Kenosha, Wisconsin 53140-3044, (262) 652-3034
Notes: Edward Herzog, president and part-owner of Service Motors, passes after an over four-decade association with Crosley automobiles. When General Tire bought Crosley Motors in 1952, he attempted to assemble the resources to resume Crosley production elsewhere. Though unsuccessful, he acquired the remaining new parts stock and maintained a full-service Crosley parts and machining service until his retirement in 1981, and Service Motors itself continues today. His 1982 eulogy stated "He has done more to keep Crosleys on the road than any man."
