      At the very minimum, open the plugs and put a tbs of oil in each hole....I too would remove the valve cover and make sure oil was on all lobes of the cam and the forward gears should get a good dose to run down to the bottom.  I would then turn it over by hand, then try the elect starter to build pressure...NOT to start.  Specific the Crosley is the water pump...make sure the jack shaft from the genny fully turns easily the the pump.....
      I would rebuild the carb
      remove the side covers and clean the rust
      make sure the clutch wasn't "frozen" to the plate
      install a fuel filter in front of the pump
      my 2 cents and change!

        All great advice. I
        would just add that if
        the tires are a
        concern, I can
        recommend Carlisle Tire
        and Rubber's USA Trail
        in 5:30x12, which is
        close to original
        appearance. Coker Tire
        also sells a wide-
        whitewall 5:30x12.
