Date: Monday October 15, 2012 Time: 12:00 am - 12:00 am Location: New York, New York., CROSLEY CAR OWNERS CLUB (CCOC) Notes: Powel Crosley, Jr., president of the Crosley Corporation of Cincinnati, today presented two passenger cars, a station wagon and a delivery car as his company's 1940 contribution to the automotive field. The Crosley car, aimed at up-to-the minute low cost, durable motor transportation,has been his dream for more than a quarter century. He experimented with hundreds of models before the present onme was developed. Crosley is a native of Cincinnati and has been nationally known as manufacturer of radios and electric refrigerators, though he also produced a successful automobile many years ago. He also is head of the Crosley broadcasting interests, the Nation's station WLW and WSAI, as well as the 500,000-watt experimental station W8XO. This year the Cincinnati Baseball Club, which he owns, captured the National League championship.
