The 35th Annual Ault Park Concours dElegance.
- The 35th Annual Ault Park Concours d'Elegance three-day/night weekend in Cincinnati took place on Sunday, June 10th with a red Hotshot as part of the prime vehicles there. The weekend activities started with a Concours "Cruisin' for a Cure" Dinner and Live Auction in the Club East Lounge at Paul Brown Stadium with dramatic views of downtown Cincinnati, cocktails and hors d'oeuvres, and a special indoor display of significant cars, followed by dinner and a live auction.
The Countryside Tour on Saturday began at Cincinnati's Mariemont Square at noon for an informal car display, then the scenic tour headed east to the hills of Clermont County and on to a stop along the Ohio River to historic New Richmond and the city docks for a preview of Sunday's exhibition of vintage wooden boats.
Saturday evening saw the "Endless Summer" Garage Party, with hors d'oeuvres, desserts, adult beverages and a silent auction.
On Sunday at Ault Park's Concours d'Elegance, over 200 classic cars, motorcycles and wooden boats were seen and judged with afternoon temperatures approaching ninety degrees.
The "Sports Classics thru 1959" class consisted of the aforementioned red Crosley Hotshot (see photo) plus an Alfa Romeo, Aston Martin, Austin-Healey, Corvette, Jaguar and four Porsches, all in excellent condition, as expected, and all with knowledgeable and friendly owners. The 1958 Aston Martin DB 2/4 Mark III owned by John W. Knight of New Concord, OH took "Best in Class."
