It's a benefit for Special Olympics in Jefferson, Wisconsin.

Vetro Winery, tucked within Sanctuary Ridge in rural Jefferson WI, is presenting the 7th Annual Wine Fest "Corks and Cars" on Saturday, June 23 at a new location from Noon to 6 p.m. Free admission and free wine tastings, wine pairings with gourmet chocolates, and Wisconsin cheeses. Owners Bill and LaVerne Vetrano and the Vetrano family date back to a family tradition started in Sicily more than 100 years ago.

There'll be 16 locally-produced and award-winning fine wines at the Cars and Corks. Robust reds, semi-sweet fragrant whites and more, plus wine specials, samples, serenity and a stroll through Sanctuary Ridge taking in all the vintage (no pun) cars.

There'll be the "Cork Pull" to benefit Special Olympics and Executive Chef Earl Gesling's famous Pig Roast, featuring specialty foods using local, fresh, organic ingredients; and Vetro's famous Blueberry Frappe made with Vetro Blueberry Wine.

Enter to win great prizes! Special Olympics is an organization that has extraordinary meaning to the Vetrano family. Any donation for the complimentary wine tasting will go to Special Olympics. Last year, Vetro Winery gave more than $1,000 to Special Olympics.

For directions or more information on the Vetro Winery Corks and Cars, visit the website at www.vetrowine.com , e-mail info@... or call 920.674.9650. There is no registration fee for the meet, and you can enter to win a big prize.

Located at 1414 Vino Lane in Jefferson, Vetro Winery is open year-round Tuesday thru Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. It's a short drive from Madison and Milwaukee in rural Jefferson County; from I-94, take exit 267 south on Hwy 26 to Hwy Y south. Cross over Hwy 18, then turn left one-quarter mile, off Jefferson Co. Y.
