      The postwar Crosley automobile will be roomier and more powerful
      than its prewar counterpart but it will not be placed in competition with the "big car" market, according to Powel Crosley, president of Crosley Corp.
      Crosley said upon his return from a Washington conference of automotive executives that plans are being made for a postwar Crosley automobile that will be larger overall, develop more power and be produced through mass production methods.

        Notes: Powel Crosley III, the son of Powel Crosley Jr. and Gwendolyn Bakewell Crosley, dies of a sudden heart attack at his Miami home. He had been the general manager for the Crosley Marine Research Laboratory in suburban Coral Gables, Florida. He is survived by his widow and three sons, all of Miami.
