America's Car Museum
A tiny 1956 Messerschmitt with tandem seating for two. America's Car Museum, which is scheduled to open in Tacoma, Wash., next year, is bringing part of its collection to the New York International Auto Show this week. The exhibit, called "Le Petit Concours," features 28 micro and mini cars.
Microcars are defined as cars with 500cc or smaller engines, while mini cars have engines in the 501 1000 cc range. America's Car Museum, in conjunction with Teeny Tiny Productions of Chicago, assembled this collection of small vehicles from around the country. Many of the micro and mini cars are privately owned and some of their owners will be at the booth to talk about their cars.
Le Petit Concours will be on display April 22-24, 2011, during the first public weekend of the show. Here is a list of the vehicles on display:
