Driver Injured When Car Goes Over Enbankment
Henry E. Vanninl Jr, 17, of Arkville suffered minor cuts in an accident about 10:30 a. m. yesterday on Route 28 a mile west of the village limits of Flelschmanns.
Vanninl, who was driving a Crosley convertible owned by his mother, Mrs. Emily K. Vannini, was traveling south and attempted to pass a car, state police said. As he came from behind the vehicle, another car came into view directly in front of him, forcing him to pull over to the left side of the road. The convertible went up an embankment and turned over. A passenger in the car, Max Olesen, 16, a summer guest of the Vannini family, was uninjured.
