      Removing engine:

      Remove hood by sliding
      sideways.

      Disconnect ground cable
      and spark cables, close
      shutoff petcock
      (coupes), fuel line at
      carburetor, choke, oil
      gauge tube line, clutch
      cable on transmission
      bracket, speedometer
      cable at transmission,
      and exhaust tube at
      manifold.

      Remove generator,
      accelerator bracket,
      and starter.

      Block up front end.
      Remove front axle and
      wheels. Drain oil;
      remove oil pan and oil
      suction tube.

      Remove engine mounting
      bolts.

      Support engine and
      remove cap screws
      between transmission
      and flywheel housing.

      Pull engine forward.

      Remove cap screws
      between transmission
      and torque-tube
      adaptor; remove
      transmission.

      Lower engine to floor.

      Raise front of car;
      remove engine from
      below.

      Remove clutch from
      flywheel.

      Replace engine by
      reversing procedure.

      Be sure flywheel
      mounting pins match on
      re-installation!
