Motoexotica is offering this 1947 Crosley Pick Up with a tow boom on the bed. Per the previous owner, there were only 572 of this little truck built in Indiana. In 1953 this truck was purchased from the previous owner's dad's car lot. He drove it and then put it away in a garage. In 1973 he painted it. In 1978 he took the truck out of his dealership's name and put it in his name. In 2000 he died. The dealership bought it back.
This truck is in great condition. The blue paint looks great. It does have a few scratches, cracks and chips in the paint. Both front and rear chrome bumpers are in excellent condition. The wheels have Crosley dog dish hubcaps with no curb rash. They wrapped in 5.30-12 tires will lots of tread life left. The metal grill looks good with no dents. The bed has a tow boom that is just for show and can be easily removed, if you want. The bed does have some dings and chips in the paint. The interior is in fantastic condition. The blue vinyl bench seat looks great with no rips or tears. The black carpet flooring looks really good. And the painted metal dash is nice with a few very small chips. Both doors have black plastic inner door panels that give it a really good look. All of the glass looks great. There are some very small chips in the sliding side windows and a few scratches in the rear window.
Per the previous owner, this car was painted in 1973. This car runs and drives very well. The clutch and steering are tight and the 4 speed (?) shifts smooth. The Mileage reads 15876 and the VIN is 28741. This car is being sold on a Bill of Sale only.
