I've always had an interest in aviation however it was given a big boost in the late 1970's when my old neighbor took me up in his Steen's Skybolt to do some aerobatics. Wow! It wasn't long after I joined the EAA and after considering many planes (I even have a set of Skybolt plans) I took a real shine to the Cricri and in the mid 80's I bought a set of plans from Zenair. It seemed to me to be a plane with everything except multi-passenger capability. I recall even talking to a guy (on the phone) who had experimentally put on two 30HP Rotax engines (turned down on a lathe). I went down to King City to pick up the plans and was able to actually sit in one. Alas the constraints of school and later family made me set it aside for many years. It's only recently with the advent of the internet that I bumped into a Youtube video of one and it has re-awoken all those yearnings. So.....here I am.
