Roy's Correspondance Course in CR Botany
- What is "tropical spinach" you referred to in your answer about chaote?
And, what other "greens" are grown in CR ...other than cabbage? Haven't
found much in my visits.

It's the common spinach sold everywhere in farmer's markets
and super markets. It's a different plant than the northern
spinach. Other greens? Well, kale & a number of chinese
type greens. Chinese "cabbage" is very cheap and good in
salads, having a very long shelf life (refrigerated).
There's watercress but be careful of such as it is almost
always grown in contaminated water and thus must be well
treated. Then brocolli is very common.
This is, of course, a botanical course. If you don't
believe it wait until you get the pop quiz tomorrow!
