I forgot to mention that it's a remarkably even-handed book, describing how Siegel and Shuster, Donenfeld and Liebowitz, Weisinger and Ellsworth, and so many others, were all essential to creating Superman's legend. Tye understands and explains what drove each of them, without any of them coming across as a "bad guy."
