      C/2011 L4 (PANSTARRS):

      2013 Mar. 20.76 UT: m1 = 2.6*, Dia.=4', DC=8, Tail: 1 deg. in PA 50 deg, naked eye. [Comet easily seen with naked eye. In 10x50B the dust tail was very broad, spanning from p.a. 30 deg. to 100 deg. and significantly curved to the left. I could trace it to about 2.5 degrees. Faint, thin, straight ion (?) tail was also visible in p.a. 30 deg., approx. 1.5 degrees long. The sky was transparent and pretty dark - in 10x50B stars up to magn. 7.5 were seen in comet vicinity. The m1 has been corrected for extinction using "Winter" table values.]

      2013 Mar. 23.76 UT: m1 = 3.1*, Dia.=4', DC=8, Tail: 0.5 deg. in PA 40 deg, naked eye. [The comet was clearly brighter than eta Psc and significantly fainter than alpha And. Clearly seen with naked eye though a bit harder than six days ago. In 10x50B: m1=3.3*, broad dust tail spanning from p.a. 20 deg. to 80 deg. I could trace it to about 1.8 degrees in p.a. 40 deg. The m1 has been corrected for extinction using "Winter" table values.]

      2013 Mar. 24.77 UT: m1 = 3.4*, Dia.=4', DC=8, Tail: 0.5 deg. in PA 40 deg, naked eye. [The comet was slightly brighter than eta Psc and significantly fainter than alpha And. Still relatively easy to see with naked eye. The transparency of the sky was not as good as on previous occasions. In 10x50B: m1=3.5*, tail: 1.2 degrees in p.a. 40 deg. The m1 has been corrected for extinction using "Average" table values.]
