      Tail: 0.3 deg. in PA 90 deg, 10x50B.

      [ Not visible with the naked eye. Very low altitude: 3 deg;
      solar elongation: 15 deg. The comet remained observable
      in 10x50 binoculars for 15 minutes in nautical twilight,
      showing a short dust tail. Magnitude estimate corrected
      for atmospheric extinction with ICQ average table.
      Near sea level location. Clear sky down to the horizon.].

          [First spotted in 10x50 binoculars, then seen with the naked eye at an elevation of ~4 degrees. Comet was stellar. In 10x50 and 30x125 binoculars a tail 0.3-0.4 degrees long was seen in PA 80 degrees. Magnitude estimate corrected for atmospheric extinction with the ICQ average table for a site at an elevation of 0.7 km.]
