The Senate Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation held a
hearing yesterday on Climate Change Research and Scientific
      Integrity.

The last half hour of the Feb 7, 2007 webcast was both informative and
      entertaining.

Senator John Kerry refused to accept persistent nonsense on climate
      change from the Bush administration.

Kerry was relentless in pleading for truthfulness on climate change
policy from Bill Brennan, the current Acting Chairman of the U.S.
Climate Change Science Program and the Deputy Administrator of NOAA
      headquarters staff.

Brennan and the preceding director of the U.S. Climate Change Science
Program and Deputy Admistrator of NOAA, Dr. John Mahoney, were both
dumbfounded, repeating planned statements and showing their silent
fear in not wanting to contradict previous statements with more lies,
      under oath this time.
