Here are two events that might be of interest for the group members that work with mobile apps development.

1 - Day Of Mobile : http://www.dayofmobile.com/ , Saturday March 6th at the IIT. A full-day event with great speakers and a reasonable price.

2 - Free Android training, from O'Reilly, one of our sponsors. Read below:

Join O'Reilly and CreativeTechs for this free online course --Developing Android Applications with Java--or buy the video after it's over.

Instructor Tony Hillerson will take you through a 6-week online course to help get you started developing Android Applications with Java.

You'll learn hands-on how to build actual working apps with Eclipse and the Android SDK, as well as the ins and outs of Android's features.

The Android platform is poised to take the mobile market by storm. A big reason is portability: you can use Android to build apps that work across multiple devices.

Date: The course runs through March 16 at 11:00am PST but you can join in anytime.

      Price: Free
      Duration: Each 90-120 minutes
      To register: http://android.eventbrite.com/

      For more information, go to:http://training.oreilly.com/androidapps-java

If you can't make the free course, you can purchase the video online.

And for you Safari subscribers, this video package will also be available online: http://my.safaribooksonline.com/video
