      AMERICA CAN SING CONTEST AT EXCALIBUR

      A Spectacular Vocal Competition

       

      WHAT:          Excalibur, Chicago’s venerable mega-castle, presents America Can Sing, a contest where Chicago’s rising singing sensations compete for over $8,000 in cash and prizes, plus the chance to with their very own recording contract.

       The summertime series is presented in the spirit of the Gong Show with local judges weighing in and final decisions made by audience members symbolically flushing the toilet to pass or fail contestants.

       Registration for the contest is open now and competition will be held on Thursdays in July and August and begins Thursday, July 14 at 8 PM in Excalibur’s theatrical Cabaret. 

       Contestants and crowd can enjoy sponsored Bud Family Buckets along with refreshing $5 mojitos and Effen cucumber cocktails.

       

      WHEN:          Begins Thursday, July 14, 8 PM

                              Continues every Thursday in July and August with Finals on September 1st.

       

      COST:            $10 to enter contest through www.americacansing.com

                                          $5 for voting audience members.
