A Cappella Community Awards!
Your contact info turned up in the search through all things a cappella, and we are writing to call you to the polls! That's right, it's time for you to come out and help select the recipients of the 2002 A Cappella Community Awards (or ACAs).
In case you haven't heard of them, the ACAs are a fairly new program of CASA (the Contemporary A Cappella Society), in which the public votes for the best of a cappella. They are like the "People's Choice Awards" of a cappella. The categories for the best group awards are pop/rock, barbershop, doo-wop, folk/world, religious, classical, jazz, and comedy, and individual awards are given for best male/female vocalist, vocal percussionist, songwriter, and arranger.
The ballot is available for download in Adobe Acrobat (pdf) format at the bottom of the page here: http://www.casa.org/programs/awards/aca.html . This can be printed out and faxed or snail-mailed to the address given, or you can simply e-mail us right back at aca@... and give us your choices and info. How easy could it get?
Spread the word and get as many people to vote as possible. Voting is open through December 31st, and the winners will be announced on February 1st.
So get to it! Who do *you* think deserves these awards...
