  • Hi, I'm Cedarbear from Tennessee and will be at the Univeristy of Texas for a few days with little time to cache. I need your help. Please make suggestions for caches near San Jacinto Conference Center, School of Business, stadium and that area of the University. I will have a few hours, not together, down time and would love to cache. This is why I need your suggestions. I will be...

  • Awesome work, Arnaud! Thanks for running with this and making things happen. On Thu, Jul 3, 2008 at 10:06 PM, SoaringEagle wrote: > Please visit the nominated caches. • I remember this being possible using something like the Garmin POILoader function to push these to my 60CS. I ended up scrapping that approach in-favor of a customized waypoint name, with tidbits like drop2, type, size, diff, terr, and the smart name in the description. Worked great since I believe the character limit on waypoint names on the 60CS was 12 characters. I preferred...

  • Too cool! Thanks for the words. I know time will lead to some great cache outings with the kiddo. Cheers. • I would have nominated if I had cached in 2007! I took a look at my 07 finds after one of these reminder notes. I almost broke down in tears. I had a few finds throughout the entire year, mostly all lampskirt P&Gs. :/ Being a family man sure leaves little time for moi to tromp around in the woods! ;) Nick filler & bcat

  • Thats a pretty technical subject line, eh? :) Im a pretty technical guy, but this is uncharted territory for me and I would like to tap the tech brains of the CenTexGeo community before proceeding. I am interested in replacing my now-considered-lost 60CS with a secondhand, old-school Vista or Legend. Unfortunately, both units ship with DB9 serial cables to connect up to your...

  • So I have been out of the game for a while. A long while. So long that I cant seem to find my trusty Garmin GPSMap 60CS. Doh! While Wendy and I continue our weeks of tossing the house, cars, and the like, I might be interested in taking an older unit off the hand of a local for cheap since Im jonesin' for some ammo cans in the woods (or Decons ... thanks Indigo Parrish!). I am...

  • I haven't done a lot of caching of recent. Be that as it may, has anyone compiled a list of area-acceptable caches hidden in 2007? Don't recall seeing such a list. That was helpful in years prior for easily picking caches to nominate. On 6/16/08, SoaringEagle wrote: > Go to http://www.matfam.com/GeocachingAwards > > Only 15 days to go.
