  • Hi Everyone, I just got word last week that my parents are coming to visit me over Christmas....YIKES!!! I am determined to keep them busy and out of my hair. I have recently turned them on to Geocaching, though they are older and have a hard time getting around. Once they get here I plan to take them to some fairly easy traditional & virtual caches. I would appreciate some...

  • Hey Everyone! This message was posted to the event cache "Sign My Cast and Grab an Ammo Can." Texas has a Travel Bug in the Top 10!! We should work hard to get it up to that #1 spot - not that far away - plus I would love to upset "Key to the Nutria". It's been #1 for way too long!!! Grrlfrog PS - check out the T/B in the number 4 spot...you can figure it out by looking at the...

  • What with losing wallets, rings and metal detectors, this hasn't been a good start to the week for Austin geocachers!! Me personally, I spent hours tonight looking for some hand-painted eggs I brought back from Salzburg - they are nowhere to be found!! I propose posting a Lost-n-Found geocache event so at least when we find our stuff it will be worth the effort - plus it'll keep us...

  • Hi Everyone, You may have heard of a website called www.meetup.com. It is an international site that organizes monthly meetings on any topic imaginable. Meetings are the same day and time every month, and meetings are just a time for people to meet and mingle, exchange ideas - whatever the group decides. I thought it would be great to get the Austin chapter going, as there are...

  • Hello! I read through the geocaching.com website but couldn't find the answer...are you permitted to log a locationless cache more than once? For example, one of the locationless caches is to find "Christmas Box Angels." If I find one in TX, log it, and find another in FL, will both of them count? Just curious.... Thx, Grrlfrog

  • I found that I couldn't connect to the legal release using the link, but when I went to rr.com and clicked on lowracer, then DSC02020_1 it pulled up the document. It prints out nicely. Grrlfrog 2) LEGAL RELEASE: They require a legal release form. I've scanned and posted a copy on the web. Please print, fill out and sign, and bring with you to the event. http://home.austin.rr.com...
