Having spent time in the hospital as a kid, I appreciate anything to relieve the tedium -- and, hey, as grown-ups we played with it for hours! Well, quite a few minutes.

When I found this one it reminded me very much of the time we had to spend with our youngest daughter at LeBonheur (sp?) Children's Hospital in Memphis when she had to stay there for a while and have a couple of surgical procedures done.  That place had all kinds of wall-mounted interactives, lights, fountains, aquariums, and much, MUCH more for the kids.  The most fun and special, it seemed, was that for the little kids, like ours, they had a bunch of red wagons with sides for safety so parents could take the kids around looking at stuff so they did not have to ride around in a wheelchair or stay cooped up in their rooms.

Times like that are hard on everyone and facilities like LeBonheur and Dell, while clearly no fun, help all they can to take the edge off and make things just a tiny bit easier...and every little bit helps.

      Gang,
I wanted to share this special log with you.  For anyone who hasn't found it yet, The Amazing, Incredible Smile Machine cache is in the lobby of the Dell Children's Hospital.  Will it touch your heart, too?
      Cheers,

So glad to find this cache! This is #200 for us and is so meaningful as our 5 month old grandson has spent most of his life here. He has stared many times at the smile machine! TFTC
