Many of you probably know that Texas now has a Delorme Challenge cache (GC2WBQZ) located in Denton.  I didn't know about it until I met the late Txoilgas in December to sign the TCC log.  He was the first to finish the challenge in January just before he passed away.  Well, I finished it about a week ago on my way to Colorado and completed the log in Denton as STF yesterday and wanted to share it with all of you.  It was a great honor to join Alan on the log.

Anyone working on the County Challenge should get a Delorme atlas because it is so easy to get a county and miss a grid just a few miles away.  When I ran the GSAK macro for the Delorme after finishing all the counties, there were 8 grids open.  The challenge has 69 grids, but a lot of them are small slices along the state line or just a triangle along the border.

I has to retrace the miles to get 3 in the Big Bend (be prepared to explain geocaching to the Border Patrol although some knew about it), one along the NM line, each top corner of the TX panhandle, and 2 near Texarkana.  It was worth every mile.  What a game we have here!!
