From our experience -- with Kenai NPS, and the FTF Denali Park Ranger who could NOT get essentially the same cache Russ/Waterweasel managed to get approved approved (Exit Glacier) -- every park is different. So the earth caches would only be as good as the Park Ranger or cacher writing them. Some Park Superintendents 'get it' (like Acadia -- and Denali), others, not so much... though one hopes for momentum in our favor. But I assume (if they're listed through geocaching.com) they'd play out like any earthcache on the geocaching end.
Junior Ranger programs tend to be park specific, as well. [But hopefully the NPS is realizing systematically that earthcaches are Good Things.]

Subject: [CentralTexasGeocachers] NPS / Acadia - Earthcache program

Headed to Acadia NP this summer and the family pointed out an Earthcache program put on by the National Park Service. We've really enjoyed the Junior Ranger Program, but hadn't known about this.
I was curious if anybody had done an Earthcache series established by the NPS, or the Acadia series in particular?
