Re: [CentralTexasGeocachers] Caching in London and Paris
- We were in Paris way back in 2000 (before I was geocaching :(so I can't help you there. But I will warn you that the Louvre is closed on Tuesdays (or was it Monday?). Which, of course was the ONLY day we could have gone! Check on stuff like that so you won't be disappointed. Also, one suggestion I have heard from MCP, is to contact a local. Send out a general Howdy to several of them, or even better, set up an event! I bet some of the locals would "LOVE" to help. Wouldn't we if one of them wanted to see Texas?!Good Luck, and congrats on your anni

Subject: [CentralTexasGeocachers] Caching in London and Paris
Date: Monday, April 26, 2010, 8:03 PMHey everyone. La and I are going to celebrate the big 05 (as in anniversary) in Europe in October. We're planning to visit London for a few days, take a ferry across the channel and coach to Paris for a few more days before heading back home. I notice there is no shortage of caches in either place. In London, we'll be staying near Hyde Park. In Paris, we're staying near the Eiffel Tower. Has anyone cached in these two places? Our plan is to walk/use public transit to get around to the caches...Yes, we actually do plan to visit some other attractions, but would Stonehenge really be worth visiting if you didn't get the cache close by?...Well, maybe yes. So any knuggets of knowledge would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Al & La
